I just came back from the most amazing NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) meeting. It was the annual changing of the guard – the old board of directors going out and the new board coming in with a bunch of awards thrown in for good measure.
I wasn’t prepared to be impressed. But the women who won awards, and the women who have volunteered their time and energy to run the organization for the next year were just remarkable! Every one of them who spoke were so poised and eloquent and passionate about their own businesses and the difference that NAWBO had made in their professional and personal lives. It truly was inspiring!
And so great to hear that many of them had taken the step to write their own books, to share their knowledge and expertise with the rest of us. These are busy women. They run their own companies, sometimes multiple companies. They have husbands and children and aging parents. Yet they realized the value of what they had to share and found a way to get it into print. Kudos to you ladies!
